Lisa Wallace General Counsel Lisa L. Wallace joined AMC in 2017 as its General Counsel. She joins AMC with over 16 years in the mortgage and default servicing industry. Prior to joining AMC, Lisa held a managing attorney position of the New York-based offices of a regional mortgage banking law firm. There, she focused on regulatory compliance, high-profile litigation matters, and development of processes, procedures and exception reporting to manage loan file pipelines in excess of 20,000 files. Her experience in the industry spans across the areas of title litigation, creditor's right in foreclosure and bankruptcy, due diligence, REO, eviction and loss mitigation.
Her undergraduate degree is from New York University, where she graduated cum laude and as a recipient of the Founder's Day Award. Lisa received her Juris Doctorate from St. John's University School of Law. While there, she was a Dean's List and CALI Award for Excellence recipient. Lisa was a winner of the Walter J. McKenna Writing Competition, and served as Articles Editor for the New York Litigator, a commercial litigation periodical published through the New York State Bar Association. She is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts of New York and Connecticut.
